Novak is a runner, swimmer and coach of the Čech family. He achieved 2 world records and won 20 gold, 12 silver and 24 bronze medals. He is married to Kalina Čech, a professional gymnast with whom he had three children. Dunsan the elder, Belia the intelligent and Zdenek the younger. Novak and his parents, Eliška and Milenko Čech are his inspiration. He and his father are the heads of the family, both are the coaches of the whole family and help everyone to move forward. Currently Novak is mainly dedicated to training and supporting his family.
